Front Range Umpire Training
All,
Umpire training has been scheduled for Sundays 830a-1p beginning February 5, 2012 – March 25, 2012. You will need to attend all sessions as each week different topics will be covered. The lead trainer is a former Minor League Baseball umpire with many years of experience at various levels. This clinic will cover rules as well as field mechanics.
The Umpire Basic Training™ program is a comprehensive training course for those who wish to become (or become better) baseball umpires. It is an 8 week (8 Sunday "sessions" 8:30am- 1pm, Feb 6th- March 27th) course which delivers a "core" curriculum of Rules, Mechanics, and Professionalism to would-be umpires. Students who successfully complete the Umpire Basic Training™ course will be well prepared to work in various leagues throughout the Denver Metro Area, helping to meet a desperate need for well trained officials.
The cost of this training is $99. Please note that you were referred on the questionnaire. The clinic location is being finalized.
This training class is required for anyone 18 yrs old and younger, anyone with less than 3 yrs of experience, or anyone not CHSAA certified. I am recommending that anyone not CHSAA certified take advantage of this training. If you are taking training from other organizations, I encourage you to make this training a priority. I think everyone needs to attend some kind of training every year to help you be better.
